The Privatization of the English Language
Today I received an email from the lawyers of author Susan Jeffers, PhD., notifying me that I’d infringed on her trademark by using the phrase “feel the fear and do it anyway” in a blog post. The phrase, apparently, is the title of one of her books … a book I’d never heard of. I find it unbelievable that a common phrase can be trademarked.

Harvard Medical Students Rebel Against Big Pharma
The revolt began when a first year medical student "grew wary" when a professor promoted cholesterol drugs and "seemed to belittle a student who asked about side effects." He later discovered that the professor, a full-time Harvard Medical faculty member, was a paid consultant to 10 drug companies, including manufacturers of cholesterol drugs.
